The story of... Kapal dev, gevolunteer
I am working as a 2nd year PhD student at Politecnico di Milano, Italy and studying Telecommunication Engineering more than a year now with fully funded scholarship by European Union under the project of INTACT Erasmus Mundus. I received my primary as well as secondary education from very small village Tharparkar, Pakistan and got graduation, post-graduation master’s education from fourth largest city of Pakistan i.e. Hyderabad. I was awarded Erasmus Mundus full PhD scholarship to study in one of the top university around the world i.e. Politecnico di Milano, Italy which brought me in Europe back in September 2014 and just in 13 months it changes my life completely in a way that not only my academic circle soared but also the social group activities touching the heights. During this period, I visited few countries like Switzerland, Cyprus, Turkey and Belgium for academic as well as for the enjoyment purpose where experienced different culture, traditions and much more stuff. Apart from my academics, I am working as a volunteer for garage Erasmus (1st Professional Network of Erasmus Generation) as a representative from Milan whose ultimate purpose is to reduce the gap between job seekers and job providers. I am an active member of Erasmus+ Student and Alumni Association (ESSA) organization and on 1st September 2015 conducted a workshop as Coordinator and speaker which is titled as “1st international workshop in Pakistan on Erasmus + and H2020 opportunities” in Jamshoro at Mehran university of Engineering & technology . Also, working as an Intern in China-Pak Economic corridor (CPEC) project where I propose his Research/policy reports on “How should Pakistan form academic linkages with China in order to establish an academic belt”. At the end, I would say that “Erasmus is the educational Nobility” which everyone should experience at least for once in lifetime and surely it would definitely add the diversity in your personality.
