Alessio De Dea, from Milan.
Alessio did his Erasmus at Cadiz, studying business and economics. "I had a lot of doubts about going to Erasmus: it was my dream ever but I started university after 4 years full-time working and I didn't want to lose more time of my career. Luckily I have a few friends that they had already done the Erasmus experience and they convinced me to make the best experience of my life!
I applied for Spain, 'cause I've always wanted to live there, and they gave me oppurtunity to spend 5 months in Cádiz, a quite small city in the Atlantic Coast, between Portugal and Gibraltar. This was probably the best surprise of my Erasmus: I didn't know much about this city before but I left there my hearth just after few days.
By the way, despite the magical city, Erasmus it was going to give me much more. I met friends from all over the world, I tried over my skin how does it mean being a European citizen, I learnt Spanish language, culture and traditions, I tried another studying approach and to live alone, at least but not the least I came back grown up more than in the previous 25 years! Yes, I can say that Erasmus left me a lot of things that only who tried can understand as well as me. And it wasn't only parties and drinking, as the common thought! So don't hesitate! Apply for this program! Give you an oppurtunity will mark the rest of your live! Because... Erasmus once, erasmus forever!."
